The extra stitches you're getting might be coming from counting the ssk's and k2togs as two stitches rather than one? I do that ALL the time and it makes me so angry.

The link for the chart is here: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3461/3259333516_e5d99ffd38_o.jpg

And I've added the chart into the pattern page too, just in case.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12832090396263600745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884655452178564857.post-58089240744052037012009-02-06T15:45:00.000-08:002009-02-06T15:45:00.000-08:00I may just be a sock n00b and hosed something, but...I may just be a sock n00b and hosed something, but when I do the math for the stitches it takes for Row 1 [p1, k4, yo, k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1, yo, p1] x4 I am coming up with 72 not 64.

That makes 68 stitches.

The next row [p1, k4, p2, k8, p1] x 4 takes 64 stitches and makes 64 stitches.

By row 3 my brain melted into mush and I started to twitch.

Am I an utter fucktard, too anal for my own good, or is the math wonky somewhere?saintgothrichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06527141031447258555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884655452178564857.post-39573461931024515712009-02-06T14:58:00.000-08:002009-02-06T14:58:00.000-08:00If you find a mistake in there let me know asap, t...If you find a mistake in there let me know asap, two others knit them up and didn't find anything but you neeeever knowwww.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12832090396263600745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884655452178564857.post-80336212168039735872009-02-06T11:50:00.000-08:002009-02-06T11:50:00.000-08:00Uhhhh....it was YOUR pattern that melted my brain ...Uhhhh....it was YOUR pattern that melted my brain actually.
;)

No worries, it made me get off my lazy butt and do the math for the crosshatch lace that I wanted to use but was to lazy/chickenshit to figure out.

I also discovered the joys of the frilled cast-on, which is a good thing.saintgothrichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06527141031447258555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884655452178564857.post-76864964164050461352009-02-06T10:43:00.000-08:002009-02-06T10:43:00.000-08:00Yay for socks!
